About

Gramble was built by Andy Harsent in January 2022.

andy@prioritypeople.co.uk www.harsent.uk

The name comes from a combination of the scrambled letters and the aim to use all the letters as with an anagram. It's also been said you ramble around the grid trying to work out which letters from the alphabet are actually there.

It's always possible to use all the letters because each grid is not random; it is created from the list of words behind the scenes. You can find out what score you'd get with these words by looking at the grid score (or par) at the bottom of the Stats page or the par when you finish a game.

Gramble takes inspiration, particularly in the sharing feature at the end of a game, from Wordle. While still a word game, Gramble offers very different gameplay, but is designed around the same concept of there being a new puzzle every day which is the same for everyone.
